More of a question, how do you choose which position they go in as? I personally would move the logo and AI to the PGs list and then put Klay Thompson at 10 on the SGs list but that’s my own personal opinion but love the lists!
Hey Brandyn! Glad you enjoyed the list. Really it’s a mix of the position they’re most synonymous with along with the position they played the most at their peak. There’s no problem with listing Jerry West and AI as point guards since they both spent a good chunk of time listed there. However, West was a high-volume scorer who was one of the first outside threats, so I view him more on the shooting guard spectrum. AI spent the vast majority of his career listed as a shooting guard, and I think that’s pretty in line with the type of player he was. Plus, he played over 500 games with Eric Snow who was definitely a traditional point guard. Note: I’d have Klay right on the fringe of the top-20, maybe even sneaking in at the 20 spot.
